The management and staff of Fish STop, which has an A rating, have done the Heart Foundation Best Practice Frying course and have reduced the amount of fat in their takeaways so it benefits all customers.
Owner Tania and her staff are very proactive in making sure they offer healthy alternatives and patrons can choose to have their fish grilled instead of fried.
They have also started making healthy home-made mussel fritters and they encourage their customers to choose their ‘Grill from Window” range for their takeaway meals. Customers can choose calamari, scallops and a wide range of fresh fish to be grilled instead of fried, plus they use Heart Foundation tick hamburger patties.
