RESIDENTIAL CARE FACILITIES
Preventative foot care visits are recommended every 6-8 weeks in maintaining general comfort, independence and addressing any potential concerns before they become a problem.
WHAT WE OFFER: LEVEL I FOOT CARE
- ASSESSMENT: Our foot care nurse will complete an initial foot care assessment for each client we visit as agreed upon. The assessment consists of objective, subjective, and neurological components.
- NAILS: Assessment is followed by toenails professionally trimmed, filed and fully shaped.
- MASSAGE: The session ends with a light lotion massage enhancing the client’s comfort.
- DOCUMENTATION: All clients visit are documented and kept in the resident’s chart.
- Any foot care concerns identified by client or foot care nurse will be addressed as appropriate.
- All concerns will be reported to the appropriate care givers.
- Referral to a Podiatrist if needed.
- We are happy to use the facilities foot care charting notes if this preferred.
